This June Jake Beierle, post doctoral fellow in the lab, was invited to share his work at the International Behavioral and Neural Genetics Society meeting this year, and was recognized as an outstanding travel awardee.

The work Jake shared leverages advances in computer vision to replace reductionist measures in migraine models and improve the translatability of preclinical findings to clinical populations. These advances are critical for improving outcomes for the 15-20% of the population who suffers from migraine and will be critical for accelerating discovery in basic biological research. Jake’s work is at the cutting edge of the field and we are thrilled for more innovation in the year to come!
