Gautam Sabnis was awarded a competitive scholarship to attend the “Statistical Methods, Developments, and Challenges in Geroscience” conference organized by the Indiana University School of Public Health in Indianapolis, IN. The meeting brought together a diverse group of postdocs, junior and senior faculty, and research scientists from demography, public health, pure statistics, genetics, psychometrics, epidemiology, and machine learning.
At the conference, Gautam delivered a lightning talk titled “A Machine Vision-Based Frailty Index for Genetically Diverse Mice,” which was awarded the first prize. This recognition highlights the novel contribution and appreciation of the work led by the Kumar Lab on the visual frailty index.
